The Ekso EVO is a body-worn exoskeleton that supports workers in production or crafts during strenuous activities, especially overhead work. It can be adapted to different body sizes. EVO's patented Stacked-Link structure has seamlessly followed the user's arm and elbow through the entire range of motion while providing proper joint alignment through repetitive motion. EVO's heavy-duty adjustable actuators have proven to be extremely durable, with over one million cycles before they need to be replaced. The Ekso Evo is based on three years of feedback from early adopters like Boeing and Ford on its predecessor, the EksoWorks Vest. One notable improvement is the replacement of the central support column that connected the harness to the shoulders. The EVO instead uses two flexible assemblies with multiple joints. The new design also includes a stylish protective cover that conceals the joint mechanism and protects it from contamination, while reducing the risk of entrapment or snagging. These changes have resulted in a second-generation device that is more cost-effective, offers improved comfort, and takes up less space so as not to interfere with the natural cooling of the human body. Based on customer feedback, the EVO also offers a greater range of motion.
